Ethos without ethics: the critical perspective of T.W. Adorno and M. Horkheimer

The purpose of this article is to present the reasons why T. W. Adorno and M. Horkheimer did not consider the philosophical problem of morality, in contemporary societies, in terms of an ethical theory. Therefore, in these authors' views, ethics acquires the dimension of an impulse that becomes effective as a rational critique to a supposedly enlightened rationality.
