This article analyzes the impacts of new tecnologies and changes in work market dynamics over educational practices at fundamental and medium school. It dettaches some international experiences which search for implanting educational reforms which approximate schools to communities, and it ends suggesting some exigences, imposed by these changes, to the educator's profile at this century end.
