O estudo avaliou o risco para a saúde na utilização de águas cinzas para a irrigação de jardins residenciais na Jordânia. Casos de diarreia em períodos antes e após a introdução de águas cinzas foram comparados. Analisaram-se a quantidade de E. coli e as concentrações de metais pesados em amostras de águas cinzas e solo. O autor verificou que os casos de diarreia para os dois períodos analisados foram semelhantes, e foi observada a presença de metais pesados nos solos analisados. |

Em razão disso, o artigo teve como objetivo a aplicação da metodologia de Avaliação Durante Operação como ferramenta de auxílio para implantações dos sistemas de água não potável. Os autores concluíram que as informações legais disponíveis para dar suporte a projetos de instalação de sistemas de água não potável são insuficientes, trazendo risco à saúde do usuário em razão da não garantia da qualidade da água. |
