Motivation at university: a literature review

The aim of the present work is to present a literature review about variables that influence college student's motivation to learn, using Pintrich's model, which incorporates four main components: sociocultural context, classroom environmental factors, internal factors and motivated behavior. It ends for the need of larger emphasis in the use of metacognitive learning strategies and larger number of studies about the theme in Brazil.
