ABSTRACT
The present research was developed with the purpose of evaluating the potentialities of Euterpe edulis Martius stem, discarded vegetable material by occasion of palm cabbage crop, for particleboard production. Effects of particle geometry and levels of adhesive applied were analysed, among other factors. The analyzed material was considered adequate to be used in the particleboard production. In some treatments, good results were obtained in relation to internal bond and thickness swelling. Better results were observed when smaller particles and higher levels of adhesive were used.
