TOTAL PHENOLS QUANTYFICATION IN FIVE FOREST SPECIES SEEDS

ABSTRACT

The objective of this work was to quantify the phenolics acids in seeds of Angico-Vermelho (Piptadenia macrocarpa Benth), Bálsamo (Myroxylon balsamum L.), Cotieira (Joannesia princeps Vell.), Jacarandá-Caviúna (Dalbergia nigra Vell.) and Pinheiro-do-Paraná (Araucaria angustifolia Bert.), considering the great importance of this compounds to vital cycle of seed and to biologies mechanisms of superior plants. Across of phenols extraction with eighty per cent etanol, the total phenols were quantifies in almonds and in teguments, making use of an equation derived from a standard curve. The results indicates sensitives differents between the quantities of phenols constituints in almonds and in teguments of analiseds species, with medium values of 0,009 to 0,495 catecol equivalent milligram, gram-1 of dry weight in almonds and 0,036 to 1,826 catecol equivalent milligram, gram-1 of dry weight in teguments.
