ABSTRACT
To evaluate chlorsulfuron adsorption and leaching a study in soil columns with Oxissol soil samples was carried out in 1995. Chlorsulforan leaching was evaluate in surface (A horizon) soil samples and the adsorption in surface and subsurface (B horizon) soil samples. The results demonstrated a high adsorption (Kd = 0.94 to 16.00 dm3kg-1), attribute to organic matter content and iron and aluminun oxide. The highest herbicide leaching ocurred in samples with lower adsorption, demonstrating that for tropical soils, chlorsulfuron mobility presents similar behavior as observed in soils of temperate climate.
