ABSTRACT
The objective of this work went evaluate to technological aptitude of five forest, native and exotic species, combined with cement Portland type CP II for the employment in the production of cement-wood panels, through the study of the heat of hydration of that composite. The methodology maid for mensuration of the time and temperature of hydration of the cement when combined or not with the particles of the species it went to collection, in intervals of one hour, of the temperature of hydration of four samples of the mixture cement, particles and water, even in the moment in that the same reached the maximum value. A mathematical equation was used to determine the inhibition Indexes for each species. The data were analyzed being compared the maximum temperature of hydration, as well as the necessary time to reach that temperature and, still, the inhibition Indexes. The results indicated that the species with greater and smaller aptitude to the use in mineral boards were Eucalyptus citriodora and Leucaena leucocephala, respectively.
Key words:
Eucalyptus citriodora; Pinus taeda; Clitoria fairchildiana; Euterpe edulis, wood-cement panels; hydration of the cement.
