SCHIZOLOBIUM PARAHYBA (VELL.) BLAHE: NITROGEN ABSORTION IN THREE NURSERY ENVIROMENTE

ABSTRACT

This research determines the best conditions of nutrition in nursery environment for the development of Schizolobium parahybum (Vell.) Blake - Guapuruvu. Seeds germinated in substratum of vermiculite, and later were transplanted for plastic sacks ( 12 x 21 cm), with fertilized substratum of vermiculite and sand (1:1). After acclimatization, the plants were assigned to three environments : (1) whole sunny day; (2) half sunny day, and (3) all shaded day (50%). At each 15 days fertilizations were accomplished, and 3 samples of each environment were withdraw at 15th, 30th, 60th, 90th and 120th days. The variables analyzed were : Waterless weigh of aerial and roots parts, and Concentration of nitrogen in the plants. The results indicates that the environmental conditions (1 and 2) presents larger quantities of nitrogen, and that the plants of this species grow better in nursery environment with half day of sun and, therefore, with some shade influence.
