ABSTRACT
This research aimed of evaluating the quality of manufactured particleboards from Pinus caribaea wood and tannin from Acacia mearnsii bark. Theparticleboards werepressed at1900C, using two levels of resin (14 % and 18%) and two pressing times (6 min and 9 min), getting four treatments. The physical and mechanical properties weremeasured: Thickness Swelling, Modulus of Ruptureand Modulus of Elasticity on Static Bending and Internal Bond. Except the Internal Bond, the increase of the pressing time and the resins levels did notmodify theboards properties. Physical and mechanical properties werein agreement with theWood Particleboard Commercial StandartCS 236-66.
