ABSTRACT
In this article the ways of installation and operation of energy transmission lines are pondered in relation to the ecological consequences of its utilization in forest areas. Physical and biological alterations are treated by the discussion of ecological aspects as fragmentation of forested areas and the effects of altered areas in contact with the forest (board effects).
