The Mário Xavier National Forest: A justification for environment planning proposal.

ABSTRACT

The Mário Xavier National Forest is located at Rio de Janeiro state, in Seropédica countie. It was created in 1989, with an area of 493 ha. It has the most important native forest fragment of Seropédica, constantly expose to danger of fire and grazing without control. In intetion of colaborate with National Forest Administration, the aim of the search is going to elaborate an environmental division of territory and a forest management plan.
