The paper presents a critical review of Ciro Marcondes Filho's paper "Forget Peirce?" (Galáxia 24, 2012) in which its author argues that C. S. Peirce's writings offer no contribution to the theory of communication. It presents a brief outline of some of the elements of Peirce's theory of communication and shows in detail that Marcondes's argument is invalid, being based on insufficient textual evidence and unreliable sources.
