Space, place and territory in cinema

Abstract

In a context in which both film studies and various filmmakers give increasing importance to the spatiality of films, this paper proposes a particular way of seeing the notions of space, place and territory in the field of cinema. The aim is not only to avoid misunderstandings, but above all to give conceptual support to the elaboration of analytical operators specific to what one wishes to study in the spatiality of a cinematographic work.
