Abstract

http://biblioteca.ibge.gov.br/visualizac... ) to identify trends of socioeconomic residential segregation in the Northwest Region of the Municipality of São Paulo-SP, based on statistical and spatial analyzes of different socioeconomic attributes related to certain socio-occupational categories of the economically active population residing in the region. As a result, several maps and tables were generated to identify these trends, thus evidencing the technical and methodological feasibility of using this database in Geographic Information Systems to identify patterns of residential segregation on the intra-urban scale.
