Abstract
This article arises from research that addresses didactic games and their influence on the teaching-learning process, conducted during the preparation of the monograph within the scope of the Degree in Geography course at the Federal Institute of Pernambuco – IFPE. The objective of the research is to analyze the conceptions of Geography teachers in the municipality of São Lourenço da Mata – PE, about didactic games and teaching-learning. Methodologically, this article was constituted as an exploratory research, with a qualitative-quantitative approach, supported by bibliographical research and complemented with a questionnaire applied to elementary school teachers in the municipality of São Lourenço da Mata - PE. The responses collected indicate that didactic games offer the possibility of facilitating the assimilation of content.
