Editing Gestures in the Circulation of Knowledge: Censorship and Resistance

Abstract:

The proposal of this article is to contribute to studies about censorial practices production and operation, as well as to ways to analyze the constitution of meanings on censorship. For the moment, we propose to question to what extent what we propose here to understand as ‘editing gestures’ intervene in the real of the senses, considering their production-circulation regulated by the silencing-evidencing beat in computerized enunciative spaces. Methodological notions and procedures of the materialist Discourse Analysis and its developments in Brazil will guide the discursive analysis of the fragment of two videos referring to Marcha pela Ciência (March for Science) live streaming (2020), scientific event invaded by hackers spreading hate speech.
