Celebration of 25 years of photoetnography: interview with Luiz Eduardo Robinson Achutti

Abstract

The year 2021 marks the 25th anniversary of photoethnography. To celebrate a quarter of a century of the emergence of this field withing Visual Anthropology, we conducted an interview with Luiz Eduardo Robinson Achutti. It is structured around three topics. The first examines the interviewee’s professional and academic trajectory; the second deals with theoretical and methodological aspects of photoethnography. The third topic offers a balance of the challenges and perspectives of this concept for the next 25 years.
