UEL 6: a new Dendrobium cultivar

UEL 6 is a cultivar of Dendrobium nobile developed at the Department of Agronomy of the Universidade Estadual de Londrina. It is a compact plant, with 35 cm of pseudobulb height on average. Petals are purple and the corolla's interior is dark purple, surrounded by light clearly green and white. The average number of flowers per pseudobulb is 15. The lip measures 2,6 cm width and 3,1 cm length. In each pseudobulb there were 15 flowers on average, it being possible to reach 31 flowers per pseudobulb. Flower's shelf-life is about 20 days.
