The article reflects on the role played by Cuban press during the uprising in the late fifties. For this purpose, we focused on the analysis of two specific publications: Diario de la Marina and Bohemia. Their distinct periodicity and editorial line allow an overview of the functioning of the Cuban media during the rebellion that overthrew Batista and started the Cuban Revolution.
