Floristic survey of families Palmellaceae, Hormotilaceae, and Dictyosphaeriaceae (Chlorophyceae) from Parque Estadual das Fontes do Ipiranga, São Paulo, São Paulo State, southeast Brazil. Eight genera, 9 species and 1 variety that is the typical of its respective species were identified. Dictyosphaeriaceae is the family taxonomically better represented in the area, represented by 4 genera and 6 species followed by Hormotilacae and Palmellaceae with 2 genera and 2 species each family. Botryococcus and Dictyosphaerium are the genera with the largest number of species (2) in the area, and Dictyosphaerium pulchellum the best geographically represented taxon, occurring in 5 localities, followed by Dimorphococcus lunatus in 3 localities, Botryococcus braunii and Sphaerocystis schroeteri in 2 localities; and B. protuberans var. protuberans, Hormotilopsis gelatinosa, Westella botryoides, Ecballocystis fritschii, Dictyosphaerium ehrenbergianum Nägeli and Palmella aurantia the least represented ones, occurring in a single locality each.
