ABSTRACT

This study had the purpose of carrying out a floristic survey of Myrtaceae species occurring within the limits of the Municipal Natural Monument of Lagoa do Peri, Santa Catarina State, Brasil. For that, four field expeditions were realized, from November 2017 to October 2018. Specimens from Lagoa do Peri, deposited in the FLOR, FURB, MBM and PACA herbaria and the material collected in the field expeditions were analyzed. To identify the species, specialized bibliographies, images deposited in virtual herbaria and online consultation of types and protologues were used. A total of 25 native species belonging to six genera were recorded, with Eugenia being the most abundant genus (10 spp.), followed by Myrcia (nine spp.), Campomanesia and Myrciaria (two spp. each), Psidium and Plinia (one sp. each). Syzygium cumini, Psidium guajava and Eucalyptus sp. are introduced species seen at the study site. Identification keys, descriptions, photos and comments about the species found are presented.
