Implications of thematic networks in blogs in the Social Network Analysis (SNA): a case study of blogs on autism and Asperger syndrome

This article aims to indicate some specificities of thematic networks in blogs of relatives of People with Special Needs (PSN) with respect to Social Network Analysis (SNA). Our object is social networks in blogs on autism and Asperger syndrome. In light of Social Inclusion (SI) and Digital Inclusion (DI), we can notice that the topic is the main condition for setting such networks. This focus shows a problematization of the concepts of weak and strong ties. Netnography is the methodology used to analyse these blogs. Thus, it is important to analyse both social capital and social ties as interdependent elements, which requires adaptations to a proposed model of network structure, as this analysis is relevant to the identification of SI in thematic networks on the web.
