Using the Brazilian context as a backdrop, this text reflects on the intersection of aging and care during the pandemic. Based on data collected by a study conducted in the period leading up to Covid-19 – 2019 – and other studies during the pandemic, the aim is to highlight the connective links between these two moments. In the case of the intersection of care and old age, we could say that a major public secret came to light.
