The comments are related to concerns that surround the topic of care in relation to alcohol and other drugs (AD), within the outlines of research and professional positions and interventions at some points of the public healthcare system of Aracaju, Sergipe, Brazil: in relation to mental health and, within this, Psychosocial Care Centers for Alcohol and other Drugs (CAPS AD); and in relation to a harm reduction project and its linkages with primary care. Through investing in non-asylum care relating to AD, is not the drug that is faced here, but themes, practices and concepts that tend to be naturalized in developing healthcare practices: body, territory, drug use/users, care/interventions regarding AD and networked care. An attempt was made to the care regarding AD that is being produced, thus possibly making room for (un)learning and expansion of life and body for users, workers, managers and the AD clinic itself.
