Dissemination of hate on social media: analysis of social medias's performance

Abstract:

It addresses the spread of hate in social media from the point of view of who manages the platforms on the web. In a case study with a semi-structured interview of seven professionals, it was analyzed how those responsible for administering web pages act in the face of negative comments that incite hatred. The results pointed to more susceptible contents and the lack of knowledge of the professionals regarding specific rules when it comes to interacting with haters and users.
