Abstract:
This article is a reflection of the ongoing research project and proposes a theoretical reflection about the processes of construction of the cultural identities of benzedeiras and benzedeiros living in quilombola communities under the focus of cultural and postcolonial studies. Traditional practices and syncretic religiosities, which shape the particular cosmos of these women and men, promote the dialogical movement that offers the elements important for the formation of the collective identities of their communities.
