Territorial dynamics in the city of Terra Roxa, state of Paraná (1970-2007)

This paper analyses the deterritorialization phenomenon in the city of Terra Roxa, state of Paraná, from the 1970's decade up to the present. During the 70's, the number of inhabitants in the city was of 38,237 and it has now reduced to 16,291 inhabitants. The expressive population exodus provoked an impact on the city's economy, taking it into the 21st century without much growing expectations. However, it can nowadays be visualized a new economic reality of growth and reterritorialization of the population, due to the implementation of the embroidery textile industries.
