This essay reinforces general aspects of Local Development Theory and reflects upon some issues about "patience" in Local Development, and about the relationship between Local Development and capitalism, making also some considerations on Local Development and socialism. It is strongly stresses that "patience" in Local Development means the renounciation to precipitation and to easy receipts (or similar meanings) and that Endogenous Local Development, even not being a substitutive to historical socialism, evolves towards being a critical counterpart to the binomium capitalism - globalisation.
