Projects of rural and forest development in pluricultural contexts. Native communities in the jurisdiction of "Corporación Interestadual Pulmarí", Province of Neuquén, Argentina

The purpose of this article is to analyze the effects of social policies and rural development projects, especially those including commercial forest activities in communities of the Mapuche native people, in the South of Argentina (Province of Neuquén). The region analyzed is highly special, since it is a territory administered under the jurisdiction of "Corporación Interestadual Pulmarí", an entity formed by land belonging to the Federal State and to the Province, where native peoples, stockbreeders and private concessionaires converge, making a highly diverse and conflictive context.
