Abstract:
The present work aims to present aspects of education related to the instruction of the Gentiles and the education of the orphans of possession in the Colonial Brazil (1549-1759). The methodology used here is historical and bibliographical, with a qualitative approach. Productions of Casimiro, Chambouleyron, Santos and Saviani were used in the research.
