This article goes to present a quarrel regarding the relation between youth, violence and social capital. It is part of the project "Violence and social capital: A study on the taxes of crime between young of 15 the 24 years in two periurbanas regions of Campo Grande, MS. The project had financial support of the CNPQ and was carried through during period 2006-08. The idea is to present in the scope of this article, the numbers of homicides committed in the capital, as well as establishing relations with the social phenomena of the poverty and the social capital.
