ABSTRACT Arboviruses have become a constant concern for public health. The management of this large volume of data generated by the health system is necessary to better understand the dynamics of arboviruses, support public policies in the management of these diseases. Thus, data visualization becomes a promising resource that allows disseminating such information and thus increasing its visibility and use. We developed a dashboard for systematization and visualization of surveillance data on urban arboviruses transmitted by Aedes (Dengue; Zika and Chikungunya) in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, in order to favor its wide availability, accessibility and relevance for data-driven decision-making in health. The developed dashboard has four management panels, each of the studied arboviruses, displayed separately, and the fourth general panel represents the three unified arboviruses. The dashboard became functional and capable of being applied by public health management, presenting useful and valuable information, in a visual and uncomplicated way, to data-driven decision makers.
ABSTRACT This paper aims to propose a measurement scale for assessing the adaptive competencies of professionals who work in software teams in Brazil. The scale was developed based on adaptability theory ( Pulakos et al., 2000; Baard, Rench, & Kozlowsky, 2014) to address the characteristics of dynamicity, complexity and unpredictability of the context. The construction followed a rigorous process guided by the measurement theory ( Rossiter, 2010; Costa, 2011; Devellis, 2016), encompassing qualitative and quantitative stages, including interviews with 14 professionals, face and content validation by 21 experts, a cleaning sample with 233 students, and a second sample with 454 professionals who work in organizations in the technology industry from Brazil to validate the scale. Through exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, a reliable and validated scale was obtained, consisting of 29 items linked to seven dimensions: Problem-solving, Emotional control, Self-learning, Seeking help, Resilience, Leadership for coordination and Leadership for cooperation. The proposed scale can contribute to enhancing the understanding of professional performance in software teams.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT In 2016, fundamental principles and behavioral guidelines were introduced1 to support the implementation of agile governance. This paper explores the evolution of Agile Governance and how these principles can enhance its implementation. We critically review the Agile Governance Manifesto and compare it with perceptions and factual information by examining our research and practice for fifteen years. The study provides a grounded understanding of the topic and presents an agenda with 12 emerging research and practice topics in agile governance. A framework is also proposed to organize these topics into two central lines, guiding future research and practice.
ABSTRACT Corporate architecture (AC) is a tool adopted worldwide by high-performance governments in public governance that enables integrated information management. This article investigates the development of the Corporate Architecture Framework for Interoperability in Support of Governance (FACIN) of the Federal Government of Brazil, analyzing the factors that justify its adoption and the expected benefits of this implementation. Content analysis and triangulation were performed on documents that supported the elaboration of FACIN and the artifacts produced. It was found that, despite CA provides a more rational and efficient management and promotes the governance, the introduction of the model in Brazil still needs to overcome managerial and political barriers.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT The increasing use of e-commerce, stimulated by the period of social isolation given the pandemic of COVID-19, requires accompanying measures, among them, the evaluation of the success of the Information System (IS). A stream of research has been dedicated for over 30 years to evolving / adapting IS evaluation models. This investigation empirically tests the theoretical model of DeLone & McLean (2004); in two distinct periods, before (model 1) and during (model 2) the COVID-19 pandemic. A survey was conducted with 329 consumers of business to consumer e-commerce in Brazil. This research is quantitative and used structural equation modeling to analyze the data. The results showed that, before the pandemic, e-commerce users did not perceive value in the quality of the system's information while, during the pandemic, perceived this aspect as important. That is, they also started to recognize more value in the quality of the system during the pandemic. This was the result of the increased use of the e-commerce system during the period of social detachment. This quantitative study has some limitations. First, the survey was conducted twice, before and during the Covid-19 pandemic specific on the Brazilian e-commerce consumption context. Second, the sample size is limited. The study contributes academically by applying the model quantitatively in a Western context. Furthermore, it has strategic potential, as positive experiences in the IS lead the consumer to reuse it, generating revenue.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT The Covid-19 pandemic provoked a reevaluation of teacher-student dynamics, prompting the adoption of innovative approaches to ensure student engagement, participation, academic performance, and retention. To effectively address the emerging challenges in this context, mixed methods research was conducted, anchored by the Design Science Research approach, where artifacts were developed, evaluated, and systematized in a collaborative serious game, MASTER-PM. The findings demonstrated the game’s positive impact on teamwork learning outcomes, and valuable student feedback facilitated iterative enhancements to the game and its support artifacts. This paper describes the MASTER-PM application in an undergraduate administration course at a Brazilian university and evaluates its viability and usefulness in project management education.
