This work applies computational simulation concepts in order to evaluate the quality and productivity of logistics systems of the import cargo terminal at Campinas/Viracopos International Airport. The logistic system was simulated by use of ARENA software, which model presented consistent results, by comparison with real data, collected through field visits. The simulation results indicate that changes on the speed of storage belts and the adoption of frequency placement stock location strategy could significantly improve the indicators of waiting time (at the entrance and exit of storage), total storage time and storage productivity.
