Editor's viewpoint

Here we are, another year has passed bringing us into the next century! The latest group to take the International Specialization Course on Toxinology have just returned to their homes in Bolivia, Cuba, and Brazil. The students had 536 class hours, including seminars, research institute visits, practical follow-up, and case discussions. Over almost four months, the students learned new methodologies related to immunology, biochemistry, botany and microbiology. They also learned the morphology and behavior of venomous animals, especially snakes, in order to master venom extraction techniques. We at the Center for the Study of Venoms and Venomous Animals – CEVAP-UNESP congratulate the new Toxinology specialists for their achievements!

The next course is just around the corner, March 2001, and we invite you to come and join us.

We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to submit original works for publication in our Journal.
