I will argue that Aristotle's inquiry into poiêtikê technê should be taken as an inquiry into a meta-philosophical vocabulary. I claim that the main advantage of such a vocabulary is that of making explicit a conceptual contiguity between a number of problems concerning action theory, rationality, collective cognition, as well as that of affording indirect intelligibility to how human communities share dispositions.
