Hegel e W. Benjamin: variações em torno da crise da arte na época moderna

This article analyzes and compares Hegel's and W. Benjamin's reflections on the crisis of art in modern age, taking as its basis the resemblances and differences between (i) the thesis of the end of art, championed by the former, and (ii) the conception of aura decay in the work of art, posited by the latter. While W. Benjamin sticks to the change in the concept of art brought on by technique, Hegel considers the transformations in art from a broad historical point of view, from ancient times through modern age.
