Multimodal Genres in the Teaching-Learning of French as a Foreign Language: The Oral Exposé to Learn Themes

Abstract

In this article, we present a didactic device for working the oral exposé genre in French, standing out the didactic model, its application in an extension course and the preliminary analysis of the students' productions. Our theoretical framework is the Sociodiscursive Interactionism (BRONCKART, 1999), mainly the concepts of language capacity (DOLZ; PASQUIER; BRONCKART, 1993), didactic model (DE PIETRO; SCHNEUWLY, 2003) and didactic sequence (DOLZ; NOVERRAZ; SCHNEUWLY, 2004). The didactic model was proposed considering several examples of the genre and allowed the elaboration of a didactic sequence. By comparing the students' initial and final productions, we found out that there was an evolution with regard to action, discursive and multisemiotic capacities.
