Laughters and soccer: an essay on the passions in sports media

Abstract

This paper is the result of the initial theoretical discussions that underlie our researches about the interface between soccer and humorous discourse. In this text, we try to develop a reflection on a typology of laughter in the comics of humor (in this essay, specifically the charge), in which soccer is the theme central. Even admitting that the rivalry between opposing teams provides - in most cases - the triggering of a derision laugh or an evil laugh, our proposal aims to analyze, from the perspective of discourse analysis, the presence of meaning effects similar to other species of laughter as the happy and good, as Propp postulates in his Comicidade e Riso.
