Abstract
This article aims to discuss the concepts of author/authorship, positioning and style in linguistic and discursive theories with regard to those who submit to the evaluative competence of the Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio’s Essay Test. For this purpose, we did a state of the art concerning the aforementioned terms, and a theoretical articulation with the Sociodiscursive Interactionism (SDI). The results indicate that a theoretical articulation of authorship in educational essays mobilized in Discourse Analysis, which conceives the subject as the one who acts through language, may be referred to the notion of author and enunciative position assumed by SDI. The study and teaching of these notions are central to the student’s self-recognition as a subject-author, who is responsible for acting in/through language.
