Abstract
This paper is a tribute to Ambassador José Augusto Lindgren Alves and jurist Antônio Augusto Cançado Trindade, delivered at the event “The Importance of Reconstructing Human Rights Policies in Brazil,” held at USP’s Institute of Advanced Studies on June 30, 2022. The event took place on the launching of Cadernos Cedec-edited in partnership with the Research Group on Human Rights, Democracy, Politics and Memory (GPDH-IEA)-and addressed two other events of the Cycle of Memories of Human Rights Institutional Policy, held in 2021, which debated the past, present and future of national human rights public policies to collectively build their institutional memory.
