Human liberation and the right to need-satisfation

A way of reasoning is suggested to justify a morality of human need satisfaction. If we seriously expect others to perform the moral duties and responsibilities that we believe they ought to, then we must provide them with the necessary resources and oportunities. The soundness and the scope of this argument are examined both for the case of members of the same culture and in an intercultural context.
