The character of the bolclievist power is examined on the basis of texts of one of its main critics, Karl Kautsky, and of two of its leading figures, Lenin and Trotsky (including Trotsky's pre-bolchevist phase). Such issues as dictatorship, revolutionary terror and bureaucratic power are dealt with in this polemic.
