Habermas and the question of social work

Taking the question of work as a basic reference the work of Habermas is examined according to three basic features: the relationship between his work and that of Marx; the relationship between his theory and the Critical Theory of Society; the critique of the Habermasian concept of society. It is argued that by putting itself outside the domain of work the analysis proposed by Habermas remains imprisoned in the historically particular capitalist form of work.
