This article discusses some of the main interpretations of Paul Vidal de la Blache’s geography through a historical and epistemological analysis. The purpose is take back his legacy at the beginning of XXIth century. In this sense, the most essential topics are considered: the false debate possibilism-determinism ; the role of the geopolitic ; the regional scale, and the positivism.
