This study aims to discuss the importance of cultural education for future professionals in Physical Education and how the academic-scientific-cultural (AACC) has been understood and conducted in seven Higher Education Institution of different brazilian states. This is a qualitative study of the descriptive type. The regulation published on the websites of the institutions suffers content analysis with pre-categorized topics and the discussion was made based in the Brazilian educational legislation about the AACC. The conclusion points a lack of comprehension and implementation of the practices expressed in the legislation, a low evaluation of these activities as a tool to increase diversity in graduation courses, and consequently the expected contribution of the AACC in Physical Education universities' curricula partially achieved shows a need of better knowledge of your content from the curriculums designers of Brazilian's Higher Education Institution.
