Abstract:
This article focuses on the entanglements between dancing, brincar e se-movimentar. It results from participatory, qualitative research based on Systematization of Experiences, supported by teaching in the field of PE in the final years of elementary education in a state school in Santa Maria, Brazil, from 2017 to 2019. Based on classroom perceptions and teaching diaries, we sought to understand dancing as a path for possible (re)encounters with brincar e se-movimentar. Considering the importance of brincar e se-movimentar, changes that happen in adolescence raise concern, since subjects distance themselves from that brincar (playing). In this context, dancing, present in different ways in the lives of these adolescents, provides a moment of surrender, state of presence, self-expression, that sets in motion what is not said in words, life stories are communicated, patterns are questioned, and other knowledges are developed.
