ABSTRACT
The article examines the growing importance of entrepreneurship in innovation processes in the 21st century. Startups play this role for their dynamism in technological development, with innovations that transform economic sectors, and for their ability to deal with specific and new knowledge. This appears both in the expansion and diversification of public programs to support startups in different countries and in the expansion of large companies actions in order to collaborate with innovative startups.
