A política de perto: recortes etnográficos de campanhas eleitorais

Taking ethnographical notes and the concept of ritual as a guideline, this article discusses electoral acts in Northeastern capitals in Brazil. The main argument sustains that acts of campaign bring near what is understood as politics and the electors, making possible the presentation of opponents and redefining social pacts that validate the principles of political representation.
