Essay on symbolic violence in organizations

The aim of this theoretical essay is to understand the symbolic manifestation of violence that, in a subtle and almost imperceptible way, permeates the relationships derived from the organizational dynamics. Thus, we adopted the perspective developed by the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu, whose praxeology is based on a dialectic between social structures (field) and mental structures (habitus) that operate in the (re) production of naturalized positions (doxa) and in its internalization (symbolic violence) by the members of the organization, particularly by the minorities historically oppressed by the asymmetricdistribution of power in this area of relationships, where the domination is expressed through the symbolic power, perpetuating symbolic barriers that often prevent the acceptance of such groups as effective actors of the organization.
